Police Officer In Hospital After Car Chase
BALTIMORE An early morning accident in Baltimore City sends a police officer to the hospital and shuts down a stretch of Interstate 83 for hours. It happened just after midnight Sunday on 83-south on Falls Road and North Avenue. Witnesses say police were chasing a car when the two crashed, and a police vehicle overturned. They say other officers rushed to the scene to try and help rescue the officer. Police say that officer was taken to shock trauma for observation Sunday morning. Still no word on the condition of the other driver involved in the accident, or what led to the pursuit.
